About this programme
Research in human disease is the focus here, with two specialisations: basic and translational research in metabolism and endocrinology, and the same in human pathologies. Of the 60 credits, 12 are compulsory, 21 are elective and 27 go to the final master's thesis, with no external internship. Three-credit electives include molecular bases of cancer research, stem cells and regenerative medicine, genomics and proteomics, epigenetics and bioinformatics applied to biomedicine.
The master's takes one academic year on campus in Barcelona, with 40 places. Teaching is mostly in English at 60 percent, with 20 percent in Catalan and 20 percent in Spanish, and English at B1 level is required.
