About this programme

Over 2 years this master's builds a mathematical toolkit: compulsory modules include Continuous Optimization, Scientific Computing, Statistical Learning, Applied Finite Elements, Applied Functional Analysis and Optimal Control.⁠ There are three specialisations, covering Mathematical Analysis, Geometry, Numerics & Systems, Mathematics of Data Science & AI, and Mathematics of Operations Research.⁠ The second year holds a 15-ECTS internship and a 30-ECTS master's thesis.⁠

The course is English-taught and held on campus in Enschede.⁠ Entry from September 2027 requires an IELTS Academic overall score of 6.5, LanguageCert Academic 70, or a Cambridge C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency score of 176.⁠ Intakes are listed for 1 February 2027 and 1 September 2027.⁠ The higher institutional tuition rate for non-EU students is €21,700 per year in 2026/27 and €22,320 in 2027/28.⁠
