About this programme

Taught in Czech, this psychology bachelor puts biology early: first-year modules cover anatomy, physiology and genetics, neurophysiology, statistics and the history of psychology. The second year adds physiological psychology, general and special psychopathology, and educational psychology. The faculty notes that a bachelor graduate is not prepared to practise as a psychologist.

It is a 3-year, 180-ECTS full-time programme at the Faculty of Arts, ending with a State Examination that includes defending a bachelor's thesis. Applicants need completed secondary education and Czech at B2 or above, shown for example by a Czech-taught school or degree. The previous year saw 92 admitted from 1022 applicants, and around 95 places are expected for 2027/28. Applications are due by 28 February 2027, entrance exams run from April to June 2027, and the online application costs 1000 CZK.
