About this programme

Taught in Czech, the Psychology bachelor opens with Introduction to psychology, Personality Psychology, Psychology of cognitive processes and Essentials of Psychological Research in semester 1. Semester 2 brings Statistical Analysis in Psychology at 6 ECTS and Human physiology, and Social Psychology I and II follow in semesters 3 and 4. Compulsory electives include Mental Health, Psychology of Adolescence and Psychology and the Internet.

It is a full-time course of 3 years and 180 credits run by the Faculty of Social Studies. Students write a bachelor thesis of at least 10 ECTS, supported by a thesis seminar in semester 6, and can plan a study stay abroad through Erasmus+. Company placements are not mandatory at this level, since specialised ones belong to the follow-up master's. Czech is needed at a working level, and the state final exam asks for B2 in a foreign language such as English. The application fee is 450 CZK in 2026/27, and applications for 2027/28 close on 28 February 2027.
