About this programme

The first years of Mechanical Engineering lean on core engineering science: Statics 1, Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Fluid dynamics and Heat transfer are all compulsory, next to Mathematics 1 and Programming. Electives such as Digital Control and Microgrid Modelling and Control let students lean toward control and energy topics. Teaching is about 50% theory courses, 40% project and group assignments and 10% study support.

The Bachelor of Science is a full-time, 4-year course of 240 ECTS in Enschede, taught in English, and its fourth year is an internship plus graduation. A secondary school diploma that includes mathematics and physics is recommended, and English can be shown with IELTS Academic at 6.0 overall. Applications go through Studielink, and the deadline for non-EU/EEA applicants is 1 April 2027.
