About this programme
This is a general English course for adults in Bury St Edmunds, with 21 lessons, or 16 hours, each week. Morning lessons practise the four main skills plus some grammar, while the afternoon option lets students work towards Cambridge FCE or IELTS. Classes hold up to 15 students and the minimum age is 16, or 18 in the summer term. Weekend excursions to nearby places such as London, Cambridge, Colchester and Norwich are pay as you go.
Courses start most Mondays, and bookings can be as short as 1 week. The main academic term runs from 31 August 2026 to 11 June 2027, and the summer term from 14 June to 27 August 2027 carries a 12% supplement on tuition. Students are placement-tested before arrival where possible, and exam advice and 24-hour welfare support are included. In 2027, homestay costs £205 per week on full board or £190 on half board.
