Journalism Workshop, Media Writing and Public Relations Principles sit among the core modules, next to Communication Theory, Mass Media and Society, Media Ethics and Research Methods, and the degree closes with a Senior Project. Students then choose a concentration in Public Relations, Media Marketing or Multimedia Journalism. Electives range from Propaganda and Persuasion and Cinema and Society to Digital Storytelling and Brand Management.
Graduates earn two degrees, a B.A. awarded by SUNY Empire State University and a Czech Bc. from UNYP, after a 4-year in-person programme in Prague taught in English. The credit load is 92 UNYP credits and 32 from SUNY Empire State University. No standardized entrance exam is required, but an admissions interview is, and IELTS Academic 6.0 or higher is one accepted proof of English. Tuition in 2026/27 is 258,500 CZK per year for EU/EFTA nationals and 311,000 CZK per year for international students.
